In this recipe, where we will be making something really very healthy having all the healthy ingredients yet so good for your tongue also. This recipe will be rich in nutrients as we will be adding Japanese matcha Green tea, roasted almonds, walnuts along with the sweetness of maple syrup and brown sugar which we’ll be using.

Ingredients required for Matcha granola with blueberries:

  • Rolled oats - 3 cups
  • Nuts and seeds (almonds, walnuts, flaxseeds and chia seeds recommended) - 2 cups
  • Matcha tea powder - 2 and a ½ teaspoon
  • Brown sugar - ¼ cup
  • Coconut oil (melted) - 2 tablespoons
  • Maple syrup -  ¼ cup + 1 tablespoon
  • Vanilla extract - 2 teaspoons
  • Salt - about a pinch
  • Dried blueberries (or you can also use cherries) - 1 cup

Procedure of making of matcha granola with blueberries:

  • Step 1: Preheat the microwave oven to 250°F
  • Step 2: Put oats, nuts and brown sugar into a large bowl.
  • Step 3: Take another bowl and combine coconut oil, vanilla extract, salt and maple syrup in given quantities.
  • Step 4: Pour these wet ingredients over the dry ones and mix them well to coat properly.
  • Step 5: Spread this mixture on 2 baking sheets. Bake them for about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes. Keep stirring after every 15 minutes.
  • Step 6: Take the mixture out of the oven and keep it aside for a few minutes and let cool.
  • Step 7: Sprinkle some Japanese matcha powder and also add dried blueberries and combine well. Store in an airtight jar or container.
