We will make chocolate matcha butter cups. In this recipe, we will make matcha tea powder blended with coconut butter to make a candy like filling coated with chocolaty layer.

Let us now see the ingredients of this chocolate matcha butter cups and the procedure to make also. So let's start…

Ingredients :

  • Coconut butter - ½ cup
  • Almond flour - 5 tablespoons
  • Powdered sugar - 3 tablespoons
  • Japanese matcha tea powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dark chocolate (chopped) - 1 cup
  • Coconut oil- 1 teaspoon

And for garnishing: -

  • Matcha tea powder - ⅛ teaspoon
  • Sea salt - less than a pinch
  • Cacao nibs

Steps for making:

Step 1: Mix coconut butter, almond flour, powdered sugar and Japanese matcha tea powder in a small bowl and keep it in refrigerator for about 10 minutes.

Step 2: Meanwhile the batter is in refrigerator, melt the chocolate and transfer it to a glass bowl.

  • Step 3: Take a small pot having boiling water and now place the glass bowl containing melted chocolate over it. Now add coconut oil and keep stirring to make a fine and smooth batter. Then remove from the heat.
  • Step 4: Taking 2 teaspoons of melted chocolate, spread the chocolate upto ¼ of the way up in the muffin tins using the back of the spoon.
  • Step 5: Take 1 tablespoon of matcha mixture and form a ball out of it. Place this ball into the muffin tin and set it accordingly. Add 1 tablespoon melted chocolate onto it and spread it evenly with the help of spoon. Make sure that all the matcha mixture gets covered with chocolate.
    Step 6: Make a mixture of sea salt and matcha powder and sprinkle it over the cups. Refrigerate them to make them solid.

    For best results, keep them at the room temperature for 5 minutes before eating.
